I was really disappointed after watching this because I thought it had a really good hook. In the end the whole thing ends up feeling like a series of short films only a few of which appeal to me and when combined into one film it feels repetitive. That’s not to say it’s not effective, it’s just that the depiction of violence against women and the way it portrays sex in the 70s is absolutely brutal.

The main thing that intrigued me about this movie was the idea of the game show segment, which ended up feeling really undercooked and ultimately not much in the overall narrative. There are some very effective sequences and it’s very handsomely shot, but it’s so uneven that I can’t help but be disappointed with the final product.
