Plot
It tells the story of three very different families who compete to buy a 1920s Spanish-style villa, which they think will solve all their problems. Both Dennis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present). If you look at this show through a narrative lens, the pieces don’t fit. There were a lot of red herrings. We dive into the background of each character, and the overall story doesn’t feel strong enough to stay on track. It all comes together in the end. It would definitely be stronger without the ensemble. There are a lot of familiar faces, so I understand why they did it. There were a few weak characters in the writing and acting. Others seemed to struggle with the balance of comedy and drama. I think it’s time for Netflix to give Linda Cardellini her own show. The best part so far. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our December calendar for more details!
