Plot
An author returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot to find inspiration for his next book, only to discover that the townspeople are being attacked by a bloodthirsty vampire using a new version of Salem’s Lot to make vampires. scary again. Good action scenes
Sundown Written and performed by Gordon Lightfoot Courtesy of Warner Records A Warner Music Group Film & TV Licensing. I haven’t read the book, so I can’t compare it to it. I loved the look of the vampires. It definitely had a good creepy vibe.
More time to develop these relationships
It had the makings of a good horror movie, but I think it would have been better as a miniseries. We needed more time to get to know these characters better. I think Lewis does a really good job as an actor with what he’s given, but his character needs more development. His backstory doesn’t play into the story in any way, except in a vague “only the outsiders win” kind of way.
He’s kind of a character
It’s like I thought he served a purpose as a writer (besides the obvious Stephen King involvement), like maybe he’s the one doing the research, but he doesn’t. The other thing we know about him is that his parents died when he was a kid, and that doesn’t make any sense either. Again, at least Lewis does a good job with the little he’s given. But like I said, I think a miniseries would have been better if it gave the characters more time.
