The first episode was better than the preview

It’s a quiet, lonely show, since (almost!) everyone except the main character has died from a pandemic, but it uses that silence to ask valuable existential questions about loneliness, whether you should strive to live if all your loved ones are dead, hope, and how to move forward. There’s a famous book with this title/theme, and we’ll see how much this series complements and parallels that novel.

The first episode is good enough to make you want to watch more

It has the same sense of desolation and despair as The Walking Dead, but without the zombies, and instead the personal struggle of living in a much-changed world. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres of this month.
